One Month Gone

… and all is still up in the air.
Only writing so far. A FUN mixture of things!
There’s been a fair bit of acoustic guitaring, VERY rough recordings into a dictaphone and equally rough recordings straight into the laptop.
All sounds too rough so far, otherwise I would have let you in on a few snippets, but there are good ideas there.

I have 10 songs now. They’re not completely done. They need to live with me for a little while before I can finish them.
I also need to know more about the album as a whole before each song will settle and find its place.
Little ideas will jump out here and there, likely on long walks or at the bottom of coffee cups, and help put them to bed.
Could take minutes, months, years, who knows.

There’s some pretty dark stuff in the pile but there’s also the extreme opposite.
For instance a hard pumped song about learning to dance!
A song that might force me to learn a few steps for the live shows. Oh dear, can you imagine?
